AMD has introduced Helion, a rack-scale reference design for running AI agents, at the Open Compute Project Summit 2026 in San Jose. It offers CPU-only or integrated CPU and GPU deployments, in liquid-cooled or air-cooled versions.
Helion is an OCP-compliant blueprint for agentic AI infrastructure. It sits alongside AMD's existing Helios system, launched earlier this year for frontier-scale AI training and inference.
